A Photo & Video Contest full of Winners

We couldn't be more thrilled with the results of our 2nd annual Outer Banks Boil Company Photo & Video Contest. It was a brutally tough choice - because they're all winners - but were managed to narrow it down to a select few.


And here they are for your viewing pleasure!


Photo Winners:

3rd Place:

There's nothing we love more than family and this great pic from Kristin Westover - snapped just outside our Corolla store - shows us just how much our Signature Seafood Boil is a family affair.


We absolutely love the custom T-shirts for the event. This must've been some family reunion!












2nd Place:

Turning 40 (a'hem) is quite a milestone and this feast provided by our Kitty Hawk shop celebrated ... two-fold? Our photographer, Shelby Muraski, put it best:


"We are from Connecticut and it was our first time in OBX and our first boil. There were 23 of us there to celebrate my father's 80th birthday (or 40x2 as he likes to say). The best part was when our chef emptied the pot onto the table. Everyone’s eyes lit up! The food was amazing. It was truly a highlight of an already amazing trip. Can’t wait to do it again!"

1st Place:

This little nugget has the right idea! Six year old Teegan Clippard dives in for a crab leg during her family’s vacation. Every couple of years the Clippard Family leaves Cincinnati with several of their close friends to create some fantastic memories in the Outer Banks.


Rob Clippard, Teegan's dad, knows how to relax into a great time.


“To have the Outer Banks Boil Company come to the house and spoil us with the best meal of the week is a highly anticipated staple of every OBX trip we take.”


We couldn't be happier to oblige!



Video Winners

3rd Place:

Nobody pours a boil better than our own founder and CEO, Matt Khouri!


Christie Guy managed to capture everything great about our Signature Seafood Boil, including all the fun - hibachi style!

2nd Place:

Confused about how to cook up a Signature Seafood Boil takeout pot? Just ask Kelsey Christensen who brought this pot home from our Kitty Hawk shop. We couldn't have produced a better tutorial on just how easy it is to create your own boil any night of the week!



1st Place:

We love "the pour" and Matthew Hathaway of Reading, PA nailed it in this SloMo version of our classic presentation.


"[We ] visit the Outer Banks each year with our friends, the Muenches, Napolis, and my sister’s family, the Prices. This is our second year having a boil at our house… Boil night is our favorite food night now, and it’s a time we all think about during the middle of winter! Several of us are teachers, and this serves as a perfect transition to the school year. The real credit for the trip and boil goes to the Muenches who do most of the planning and booking! I’m just the guy who wanted a video momento of this epic OBX meal."
