We've said it before and, well, we just can't stop saying it: Family spirit is everything to Outer Banks Boil Company!
It's the Khouri family spirit that built our business and that goes into every boil we serve up - bring folks together in the best way possible. So when Josh Olvey, a great family man himself, opted to open our 4th location in North Carolina, we knew that the family spirit so important to us would spread even further down the coast!
Oak Island will be our 10th location overall and we couldn't be more thrilled for this special site to be in the hands of someone who loves the business.
Josh, his wife Ashley, and their daughter Boston all hail from Indiana. They moved to the Outer Banks in 2014 where they lived until 2020 and met and adopted the 4th member of their family, little Bowen (BoBo) Josh met our CEO & founder, Matt Khouri, though a mutual friend in 2020 and worked a full season at the Kitty Hawk location. He quickly caught the “boil fever” and began making plans with Matt to open another location on the east coast. “We chose Brunswick County for many reasons and moved down to Oak Island/Southport area in 2021. We've
fallen in love with the area - its beautiful beaches, its residents, and its visitors. "After years in the workforce in several different industries, this is the most unique, fun, and fulfilling job I’ve ever had. My family and I have a passion for serving our community and absolutely love the culture of Outer Banks Boil Company. We look forward to connecting with families and creating memories and unforgettable meals in Oak Island for years to come. I’m so thankful to Matt and his team for letting me be part of something so special!”
We're so excited to see our Oak Island location come alive and we can't wait to see what great things the Olvey Family has in store!
