We're thrilled to announce that long-time and beloved Outer Banks Boil Company staff member Wilson Gregory will be extending our North Carolina locations, opening our latest shop in Emerald Isle.
That makes 5 shops in NC and 12 shops overall - every one of them perfect for experiencing our famous Signature Seafood Boil!
Wilson's smiling face and easy manner made boils great fun for everyone in OBX over the past few years. And just like all of us here at Outer Banks Boil Company, it was Family that helped Wilson make his decision to open our Emerald Isle location. Here's Wilson's story:
Born and raised in New Kent County VA, Wilson attended Averett University in Danville VA, completing a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in physical education. He was a four year letterman for Averett's football team. After college in 2019, Wilson moved to Corolla for the summer and apply for teaching jobs for the fall. But during that summer, Wilson met Matt while working in the beach community and it wasn't long before Matt asked Wilson to join the OBBC family. They hit it off pretty quickly and soon after began making plans to open another location.
"Choosing the Emerald Isle location came to me for many reasons", Wilson tells us. "First and foremost is family. My mom retired to the area in 2020. Being close to family is important to me and, especially after visiting her, I really felt OBBC could really benefit and thrive the Crystal Coast Community. I saw that there is something very unique about the area. The family beach, small-town atmosphere, the crystal coastline, sandy beaches, local shops, and activities for all ages along with the welcoming community really stuck out to me."
"Jess Stanley (my girlfriend), and our dog Mayla are very happy and pleased to be here in the Crystal Coast and to share the OBBC experience and create memories with our family and yours for years to come. We are excited to be part of the team and be part of something so special for our wonderful customers."
Our Emerald Isle location will be servicing the areas in Crystal Coast including Emerald Isle, Indian Beach, Pine Knolls Shores, Atlantic Beach and Beaufort.
