Thank you so much to everyone who submitted this year. Doing this annual photo contest is one of our favorite traditions every year and seeing what ya'll submit never stops bringing a smile to our faces. As soon as we saw this year's winning shot we knew it was a keeper and luckily, you agreed.

We asked Ben to give us a little background on this shrimposal -
"The picture is from our vacation in Corolla this July. My wife and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary - hence the (re-)proposal in the photo. In the picture are our families: parents, sisters (and their families) and our two teenage daughters. And even our good friend and officiant.
We were so glad to have Outer Banks Boil Company cater this special event for us. We had a person (my nephew) in our party with severe allergies to shellfish and your company worked with us to handle this without issue. The food was amazing, the setup was flawless, and the meal capped off a fantastic week at the beach!"
Our second place price goes to Edith Wombolt who was in Corolla for a family reunion with her cute-as-a-button Aunt Joyce.
And last but not least, our third place winner is Jessica Deighan and her dog, Scout! Jessica said:
"Scout is our 2 year old golden retriever who was enjoying his week at the beach. He loves water, fetching balls, and hanging by the dinner table to get some dropped food, especially anything from the boil.
This was our families second year in the OBX. It has become our annual trip. We have enjoyed the Outer Banks Boil each year! This year we were celebrating my father in law turning 70, his retirement and our entire family being together. It was a relaxing week.
I polled the family and we all agree that the best thing about the boil is the simplicity of the evening. After a long day at the beach, when you smell the food cooking it is such a good feeling. The boil takes away the stress of having to plan dinner or go out to eat. Each year, the young men that have come to our home have been on time, professional and can make a delicious boil! Even the non- seafood lovers were able to enjoy the corn bread, pulled pork and a key lime pie! I look forward to our boil each year."
