And we wouldn't give up a second of It.



With 9 locations across 5 states, it's hard to believe that Outer Banks Boil Company all began with a maybe-not-so-well-received final college project.


Matt Khouri's professor back in those days may not have thought his idea - to replicate a family beach tradition of steaming up a huge pot of potatoes, fresh corn, andouille sausage and shrimp, then dumping it on a covered table and sharing it with friends and family - was the best. But his teacher was obviously missing the two secret ingredients that we add to every pot that leaves every Outer Banks Boil Company shop every day of the week:


Secret Ingredient #1: Dedication.


They say it all starts at the top and, in this case, that's a great thing. From the early days of working multiple day jobs and serving up catered boils at night . . . all the way to keeping and holding (for the past 6 years!) TripAdvisor's #1 Outer Banks restaurant, Matt has passed his dedication to the best quality seafood and the best service on to everyone in the Outer Banks Boil Family. We're here for you and we want you to experience this wonderful tradition for your self!



Matt's dedication extends beyond his business to the whole of OBX as well. He's fully dedicated to the locale and, in fact, is now part of the burgeoning Outer Banks Aviation. Another passion of Matt's that he's turning into reality.





Secret Ingredient #2: Memories


We aren't just steaming seafood here - we're making memories! With over ONE MILLION pots served, we're proud of the smiles we've coaxed, the families we've brought together, and the traditions we've started. It's been a privilege to be a small part of bringing you all together!



And we couldn't have done it without all of you! To everyone who has picked up a boil or allowed us into your home and allowed us to be part of your family for a few hours, a big, heartfelt thanks.


It's been a happy 10 years and here's to 10 more!
